My love for cowgirl boots started when I was just a little girl being raised in the great city of Greenville, South Carolina. As I've grown, that love has continued to blossom. For years I have collected a number of cowgirl boots that seem to have overcome my closet space. Not long after graduating from College of Charleston in May 2013, I found myself trying to find a place to “fit in” aka finding a job. I’ve always worked hard, so naturally I wanted something challenging to keep my brain awake, and something I could express my creativity to others. Like many women, I have way too many shoes, so I made a rule with myself that if I get a new pair I have to get rid of one too. One summer day, not long after graduating, I was attempting to clean out my closet, when I pulled an old pair of boots down from the shelf and let my mind go crazy, thus creating Sazzy Ware.
Located on James Island, just outside of Charleston, South Carolina, Sazzy Ware concentrates on the reconstruction of old or unwanted cowgirl boots and turns them into fashionable, unique, and one of a kind boots that fits any personality or style. From belts, to necklaces, to buttons and bright colors, Sazzy Ware has what it takes to fit all of your styling needs. One look at these boots and you’re hooked! Sazzy is a nickname my grandfather came up with when I use to strut around in my cowgirl boots as a little girl and Ware is my middle name, shared with my great grandmother. It only seemed fitting I would be able to share my sass with anyone and everyone who will let me. Every woman should have a little bit of “sazz” or sassiness in her life allowing her to shine!
My company’s motto is, “No matter who you are or what you do, you are uniquely you. Always let your light shine through!” Sunshine can have different meanings for different people, but I see it simply as to “shine on” in your confidence. Allow yourself to step out of the boundaries, take a risk, do whatever makes you happy, but shine in a way that allows others to see that enjoying life is the key to all success.
